He married Minnie Venetta (Budd) Littlejohn 25 November 1895 in St. Thomas, Pembina County, North Dakota, United States of America, daughter of Eli Budd and Jane Smart. She was born 16 July 1873 in Lindsay, Ops Township, Victoria County, Ontario, Canada, and died 25 February 1965 in Carberry, Manitoba, Canada.
